We got up at 8:20 and got dressed and went to breakfast. It was the same as yesterday only we were the only ones eating.  After breakfast we got packed and read for awhile before packing up the car.  As we packed up the car Jim, the handyman, called Joanne, the owner, who came over to meet us.  We found out that she had been gone to take her son to a college visit this weekend.  We had a nice conversation with her about the Octoberfest in Walhalla and the Apple Festival and Mayberry Days in Westminster.  We left about 10:45.  We stopped at the Ingles Grocery in Westminster to look for the seasoning Pat had used on the corn but we couldn't find Coach’s Seafood Boil Seasoning.  So we stopped at the Ingles in Seneca but they didn’t have it either.  So we headed east on 123 through Clemson to Greenville.  In Greenville we took 385 to 85 which took us all the way to Charlotte.  We stopped to eat at a Chick-fil-A in Mount Holly.   In Charlotte we took 485 to 77 and 77 to 40 which took us all the way to our exit for Oak Ridge.

We got to the Sleep Inn at 3:30, checked in, and called Teri.  She had taken the day off so we could go as soon as we wanted.  Derek and I were both on the computer and I was trying to upload pictures to Travel Pod but I had a lot of trouble.  I finally gave up and we headed to Teri’s.  On the way we stopped at the Old Mill and bought corn meal, rye flour, gingerbread mix, sweet potato muffin mix and blueberry muffin mix.  Derek got Huckleberry Jam.  We got to Teri’s about 5:00.  We had just got settled with drinks and snacks when Doug arrived.  He left the office early.  We visited and enjoyed each other’s company.  Amy called to say she got off early too and she and Matt were on their way.  Before long they arrived and we had our supper, pork loin, scalloped potatoes, and corn casserole.  We spent the evening sharing stories about all different stages of our lives.  At one point Larry, Derek and I went upstairs to experience Doug’s home theatre.  It is quite something with a 120 inch screen and an awesome surround sound system.  When we went back down Teri brought out her memory box which had the clipping from the Marion Star announcing our engagement and another clipping telling about our wedding.  There were other things in the box from long ago including the last picture Teri ever took of her dad.   That started a lot more storytelling and remembering.  It was a really enjoyable evening.  We got back to the Sleep Inn about 10:30 and then I wrote the blog.  We tried to skype Erin but she was in Las Vegas for the weekend and I remembered that she wasn’t flying back to Seattle until late tonight.

Unfortunately, we were having so much fun that we forgot to take pictures this evening.
