I was up at 7:30 and Larry at 8:00.  We had breakfast in the hotel for 7.50 pounds each.  It was okay but not up to the standard on our tour.  Jane picked us up at 9:30 and we went to her house in Toft to pick up Jake, her husband.  We had a cuppa before we left.  We headed toward Bedford and Milton Keynes which eventually got us to Bletchley.  Bletchley Park is where the Codebreakers worked during WWII.  We saw the British Drama Bletchley Circle and wanted to see the Park.  There a number of huts that have been restored and fitted out with period furniture and other period regalia.  There was a museum that was quite interactive.  We had lunch there.  Jane and I had spiced carrot soup and bread, Jake had a plowman's sandwich (meat and cheese), and Larry had Jamaican Ginger Cake with Custard.

Our next destination was the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden.  This was a collection of planes from the beginning of aviation through WWII.  Most of the planes have been restored so that they can be flown periodically.  There were 8 large hangars of planes as well as cars, carriages, and bicycles.  We had a nice day out and arrived back at Jane and Jake's about 5:30.  Their son, Jim and his son, Max were there.  So we got to spend some time talking with Jim about what we had seen and got to know Max a little bit too.  Max will soon be four and he loves dinosaurs.  While Jane made Fish Pie for supper, I blogged, Larry and Jake went to the market to get a few things, and Jim and Max went to visit friends.

Before supper Jim's wife came home from work.  She works as a corporate lawyer in London and commutes everyday an hour and 45 minutes each way by train.  I can't imagine.  The fish pie was delicious but it had prawns in it so Larry, who is allergic, had to pick his out.  That was great for me as I love them.  For pudding we had raspberries from Jane's garden that Jim and Max had picked. Max had to go to bed in the middle of supper as he was falling asleep in his chair.  After supper we went to the Toft People's Hall where the Toft Social Club meets.  We had drinks.  I had a lager shandy, Larry had Tribute Bitter, Jane has ginger beer, and Jake had cider.  Jane took us back to our hotel and we went to bed.
