After a delayed start and having to go get more shopping and some hardcore antibiotics we finally got on the road. I will always love Elisa for sorting this out for me as there is nothing as sucky as being away from home and being very very sick and not in a good place physically or mentally.

The drive was amazing and the company was funny as. I had to drink as much water and fluids as possible which was ok but for the fact that I had a dog on speed jumping around the back of the car and using me as a play area! My poor bladder was not happy yet my eyes and heart were. The scenery was to die for and I knew I was going to be at one with nature and I would get to be at the sea!!!! I need to be near water to feel balanced and at peace.

We stopped a number if times to look for a place to pitch out tent as the first place was packed. We couldn't find any way to pay for the site we found by accident. We had a young guy (looked like sAsLEX from NZ) come and talk to us and suggest that we move and not being nasty but he suggested we move to a better spot (yes it was) and that we might not want to be pitched next to noisy rugrats (we didn't). The spot was serene and just outstanding. To start with we were right next to the river, shaded and there were a NZ rock balance piece of art. Made me miss NZ again.

After getting our camp established (Elisa is very organisational) we headed to Elisa's favourite beach. Oh my God it was so beautiful, I just wanted to cry because I had missed the sea so much. The shore line reminded me so much of Piha and I couldn't wait to get home. Once again it struck me that NZ is the only home country that I have ever missed when I have been traveled. This just confimed that NZ is home and always will be!! I have finally found the place that I want to live in and don't want to leave.

The walk and run with all was a hoot and I really enjoyed discovering so many Patricks of differing colours. It was cool bananas to see Elisa get so excited and I finally got her seastartango name, she is like me with penguin, but with star fish. After plenty of exercise we headed back for dinner which was very tasty and I was very impressed with Elisa's camping stove. Building the fire was fun as we had missed out on getting fire wood so built our fire with toilet paper, paper from Raul's Ph.D notebook, tree branches from the ground and old man's beard.

Sleep was good but a little cold. The three people and one dog in the tent didn't produce enough heat for me to sleep just in my pj's so I slept in many layers. Getting up to pee was fun when trying not to stand on anyone, trip over and take the tent down or let the dog out. Crazy dog on the lose would not have been good!!
