The sun was shining just like the weather forecast said it would. First time in at least a week. Did a whirlwind tour of Bitola (took more time in transit than actual sightseeing) and came back to Ohrid so I could have a relaxing sunny day near the lake. I also trekked back to Sveti Jovan Kaneo for the third day in a row. Finally, I had some sun casting over one of my favorite churches. Usually that would not be saying much, but at the rate I'm going- approximately three religious buildings everyday in Eastern Europe, that's one of my favorite out of 180 synagogues, temples, mosques, and churches (and counting). Ohrid was an episcopal center for Macedonia; this city alone has 365 churches, one for every day of the year. And when you are strolling, you can hear several bells going off around you all at once. The best part for me though about Ohrid is the lake. It's one of the oldest in the world and definitely of Europe. Age is similar to Lake Titicaca and some other African lake. Strolling alongside the lake was quite enjoyable, except when it rained. But got a good glance of sunset over Kaneo.
