We arrived about 30 minutes late but all in all it was quite a good flight. Didn't get to sleep much though.

Got to Koh San Road for about 09:00. The taxi driver tried to have our pants down over the fair by saying it was 900baht but we got him down to 500baht. The way they drive out here is from another planet. We thought the Cyps were bad (a woman carrying a young baby on the back of a scooter on the highway was quite impressive). Grabbed some fresh pineapple & melon then set off for a little walk about.

Managed to find somewhere pretty quickly. It's 550baht (€14) for the night. We had to fight off a big ginger cat with the biggest pair of plums you've ever seen! Its pretty standard but there are camera's everywhere so we know our stuff is safe & its just off of one of the Soi's (alleys) on the Koh San as well.

The first thing we needed to do was to book our train journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai for 22nd December. We tried to book 1st class but all the cabins were full so we're going cattle class! Should be fun...

Got to Chatuchak market for about 11:30. We got a metered taxi by none other than Mr T (Ok, Tee!) so it only cost 100baht. It's best to get taxi's away from the Koh San as they're renowned for being a rip off. Lisa looked at just about every single bag that she could possibly find. Including bin bags. Weird. We grabbed some food (might as well have been from the bin) from a little stall. Lisa asked for Phat Tai & I got chicken fried rice. Lisa didn't know about & didn't like the prawn version of Phat Tai so it's obvious who ended up with the chicken fried rice! Left from there at about 13:00 & decided on a cheeky power nap before having a good look around Koh San Road.

After deciding some pampering was in order we went to the local massage parlour...(not the type our Dads are thinking!). For 500baht I had a facial (steaming face masks, the lot!) & for 120baht Lisa got a foot massage ending with a slap on the back...strange little people.

Finished the evening with a bit more shopping. Lisa got a bag (surprise), a hat & some other bits. I got some decent t-shirts that cost less than €2 each. Bargain!!!

Got to be up at 04:00 to catch a flight to Hanoi (Vietnam) so it's sleepy time for now. Will catch up tomorrow.
