Today was our last full day at La Loma, and after our big adventure yesterday we decided to spend the day close to home. I sketched flowers in my sketchbook and napped. Rick read and napped. At lunchtime we took a special trip to the Ngobe village next door. We were treated to a special meal featuring indigenous dishes (fish, plantains). It was very good! We also got to meet the curious Ngobe children who peeked around corners to check us out. The rest of the afternoon was spent being lazy, but that evening we were treated to one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. It was a great way to spend our last night in the jungle.
