5 days were spent guiding thirty 12-year-old international students through the rice terraces of Longsheng, about an hour north of Guilin. I was helping with a guiding company called China Climb, who guides school and corporate trips. We hiked from village to village, enjoying the (unfortunately very foggy) scenery and learning about the minority cultures.
We spent time at the local elementary school in one village, where we taught the students the Hokey-Pokey and Duck, duck, goose. They were adorable and happy to have us there.
Other accomplishments include learning how to play Hearts card with the teachers and managing to lose every single game!
Now I'm off to India until mid-January! Namaste~
