Where I stayed
We arrived near the beginning of April when the weather was very cold and very wet, driving through snow in France. The food garden planting had to be delayed as there's no point putting seeds in cold, wet soil. They won't grow but they would rot. So for a week, we worked on indoor jobs or under the hangar jobs, trying to keep warm and dry, chopping firewood or cleaning insulation for the renovations.
Only one of the goats is pregnant and ideally she needs a clean area for delivery. She is due anytime yesterday. So we mucked out the goat shelter and carted the manure over the paddock to the garden where I'd already unloaded the muck heap onto the veggie beds. We're still waiting for Neige to produce kids or a kid. We're told that goat babies are the cutest!
We've had fun at fetes and evenings with friends. Photos for familiarisation. Oh and the reason for blogging today? The weather is cold and wet again. Well, we were moaning that it was too hot for working in!
