So I'm living in Chelsea at the moment which is just my sort of neighbourhood... It's opulently wealthy. School uniforms include plus fours and cravats. The waiting areas in dentists do not stock grubby plastic building blocks or one armed dolls for the children; they have PS3s with giant screens. The neighbours have their groceries delivered by Harrods. The au pairs are stylishly outfitted. My general ensemble of whatever fits in the charity shop is a little out of place!

Each day I walk. Anywhere. I have 2 hours off every 24 hours and I relish this free time. It takes me out into the world, not a beautiful countryside but into angry hustle and bustle with scowls and phones pinned to faces and ears. It's still my time though. I have a silly game I play whilst I'm walking. As I cross a street, I check what cars have stopped at the pedestrian crossing for me. My best combo so far is a TVR and a Mercedes. I reckon the highest hand would be a pair of Rollers but I only see them on their own.

Today's walk takes me to South Kensington where the cars are less luxurious, far more BMWs and even several VWs and there are at least two charity shops. But the retail outlets are still posh, a cup cake costs three pounds to eat out. And I daren't go in the charity shops, they're too scary. Although maybe they'd think I needed some new clothes and give some to a badly dressed tramp?
