In the 1800s, someone found the remains of a Roman Villa, a huge on. It has been recreated a few miles down the road as accurately as possible. With a 2nd or 3rd century gatehouse larger than two of our old terraced house, Roman baths in working order an painted walls, it was an impressive estate.

Recently the gardens have also been established and it is thought that these are a fairly good representation of those hundreds of years ago. Not only could Laura name almost every plant, she could also list the reason for having them, food or medicinal. That is with the exception of knowing what to do with Spurge.
