Flag of Luxembourg  , Grevenmacher,
Sunday, August 12, 2012

We were tipped off to this natural ravine hidden under trees by ou neighbours on a previous campsite. It is surrounded by rolling farmland countryside. There are the equivalent of brown signs (white here) and the only other clue is a couple of laybys for parking in.

It is worth discovering though, the walks aling the edge and at the bottom are shaded from the hot sun by both broadleaf and conifers. The water is clear and trickles along the bottom. The paths are well marked and include circuits for pedestrians and bikes. And always in Luxembourg, lots of tiny dogs. There are a few bigger dogs but cat-sized is the mode!

Laura tried to teach me some more plants; cows wheat, enchanter's nightshade and figwort all sound like fun. I'll be relearning them soon though!
