Not long before leaving Mobile, Alabama, I re-connected with a classmate from college. Once out here, I ask her if she would form a publishing company with me - over the last five months we have proof-read hundreds of pages that one day will become books.
In being re-connected, she encouraged me take many leaps of faith - and as always, many wonderful things have happened. Early on, I shared with her about always having had a feeling of abandonment - not having a sense of having a home / or family. Not long after that - she offered me the most amazing gift. A gift of having a home! She said to me, "no matter where I go on this planet, you will always have a home!" She continued by asking me to come home and share her home with her in LaGrange, Georgia. I have answered, yes!
Twenty plus years ago, we were classmates at LaGrange College. We both served on the yearbook staff - me being the editor. So, we have a background for working well together!
Tomorrow morning, I board a Delta flight for home!
I will continue to post blogs about San Francisco - so as to finish that adventure both in photographs and stories.
Additionally, I will start a new blog, entitled "Welcome South Brother" I am borrowing the name from a radio station that used that as its call letters in the early 1920's. Today, they are simply know as W.S.B. TV and Radio, located in Atlanta, Georgia.
Over the last year, my three blogs have had approximately 7,000 hits. I am extremely grateful to each one of you for following my adventure filled life! I hope you all will continue to follow me on my journey back to the south and the great things that will unfold!
