We've been in Tasmania for a while now so I thought I'd update the blog.
Before we left Melbourne we visited the aquarium there which was pretty good as as well as the usual fish and things they also had penguins which you don't really see much in aquariums so that was good.

We flew to Hobart in Tasmania where we've been staying for the last week and a bit looking for work. Unfortunately there really isn't any, we tried to find some fruit picking but you either need a car or it's not around for a few weeks. So to be honest we really haven't done much of anything here as we need to save money. We did visit the art gallery and the museum which was good as it was free. We also went to the Botanical gardens which was free but boring apart from some really brightly coloured parrots in the area. So for the last few days we've pretty much done nothing but stay in the hostel and watch DVDs.
To try and make up for the lazyness, yesterday we decided to climb Mt. Wellington which is just next to the town and is 1.2km high apparently. The weather has been cloudy lately and you couldn't even see the top but we decided to go anyway. It was a pretty hard going climb but we managed keep to the trail and to get a few scenic shots halfway up the mountain but as we got higher we reached the part of the mountain which was covered by the clouds. We diverted towards a rock formation known as the Organ Pipes but it was so foggy we could only just make them out. We did manage to get to the peak but we couldn't see a single thing. So basically it wasn't really worth it except to say I've now climbed a mountain.
And sod's law, today it's a really sunny day and the view is probably fantastic. Typical.

So we've pretty much given up on getting work as it just doesn't seem to be about at the moment. We are probably going to fly to Sydney in a few days then head to New Zealand. I'm a bit disappointed to have to leave Tasmania without really seeing any of it as it's supposed to be really nice but we can't really afford to stay in hope that work will pick up.
On the bright side when we get to NZ we can actually start enjoying ourselves again for a while without worrying about finding a job.

Anyways, next update will probably be from Sydney!
Also Dan broke another pair of Sunglasses so that's 5 pairs lost or broken now
