Where I stayed
Holiday Inn Express, Meridan, Idaho
We left Colorado this morning and took a 12 hour drive through Utah to Idaho. The girls watched a bunch of movies while we passed through mountains, then arid flat lands, Salt Lake City, and finally the heartland fields of Idaho.
Since we made no real stops, I felt compelled to give them a little history lesson as we passed through the Salt Lake City area. As we saw BYU, Brigham City and other "Brigham" namesakes, I asked the girls if either knew who Brigham Young was. Since neither did, I proceeded to tell them a bit about the history of Mormons, how they were driven from the north, then Kansas, how Joseph Smith was killed and how Brigham Young ultimately led their followers to Utah and they settled in the Salt Lake City area. Not sure if Bri or Gabi was listening by the end, but I tried!
We'll be up early tomorrow and off to Seattle.

Knowledge
I do hope the girls were listening and should be impressed with your history knowledge. Of course, you were smart enough to stay at a Holiday Inn Express! LOL
Re: Knowledge
My guess is that most of what I say goes in one ear and out the other!
