Rachel and I spent the day kayaking in Lake Powell. We rented a two-person kayak for 4 hours which was only $20. We paddled through a beautiful, narrow canyon called Antelope Canyon. Because of the time of year, we had this portion of the lake all to ourselves. It was 50 degrees and sunny. The kayaking trip is my favorite experience up to this point on our journey. We were surrounded by sheer 200+ foot cliffs that met the water's edge and dove deep beneath the surface. The water was crystal clear, allowing clear visibility of the fish and rock formations below. The water in the canyon ended on a narrow beach between canyon walls. We hiked deeper into the red canyon which, at times, narrowed to less than shoulder width apart. It was a really cool experience! After our adventure, we drove back to our campsite to stay for one more night. Tomorrow, we head to Zion National Park!
