Where I stayed
My Friend: Nick
1/21/10
Today Rachel and I drove 12 hours to Santa Fe. We met with my friend Nick at his apartment. He works at an expensive hotel nearby and hooked us up with a free room for the night.
1/22/10
Rachel and I explored Santa Fe. We walked around town-square and spent a lot of time in the museums. We learned a lot about the Pueblo people, and expanded our knowledge of the history of how the West was taken from the natives. Although it holds many permanent residents, Santa Fe feels like a tourist city. There are many casinos and skiing opportunities for people who can afford it.
