23rd.
We got a 40 minute flight into Sucre, the city where our guide Karina lives.  We are now officially in the Andes at 2750m above sea level.  She took us to a fabulous courtyard restaurant and we had a three course meal for $5 and it was really yummy too.  Then we went for a walk around Sucre, visiting museums and doing all that kind of stuff.  It really is such a pretty little city.  Above the church museum is a lookout over the city.  We indulged ourselves in the chocolate shop in the afternoon and I had a Baileys chocolate cup shot. Sucre has a much nicer feel than Santa Cruz, we all said we feel safer and happier here. I went and got my nails fixed and promptly lost my credit card by leaving it behind at an ATM, dammit!  Here, you get your money first, then receipt and card last.  I mucked up. Oh well.
The next day we all went to go for a horseriding adventure.  It was such a beautiful day for it too. My horseīs name was "Amelia".  We passed through a new housing estate before reaching the hills.  The views just kept getting better and better the further out of town and the higher up we went.  I had a few opportunities to go for a gallop which felt so good since I havenīt ridden for ages.  We had lunch on top of a hill next to an old abandoned mudbrick shack with a 360 degree view all around. Then we did the last part downhill, sometimes it was quite steep and with sheer drops.  I had to trust Amelia.  We all enjoyed it heaps.  We were shouted to a free drink afterwards at the pub.
In the evening we went out to a traditional Bolivian Dance Show with dinner.  They demonstrated Bolivian folk dances from different regions and eras.  It was good fun and they had some great costumes. We were invited up onto the stage at the end to dance with the dancers.
