Where I stayed
Bongula Caravan Park
Drove from Swan Hill to Mildura 219 Klm's we passed orange trees with fallen fruit. Olive trees and grape vines. The grapes are for wines and for dried sultanas, lots of vineyards and wineries.
Weather cold, windy and rainy on the way to Mildura and extremely windy and pelting down rain all through the night.
Today, Sunday windy and cold, went to 3 Wineries with Baz, Bryan & Annette. The Trentham Winery had a jazz band and tasty wine and food. Enjoyable sitting and listening to the band beside the river.
All along the Murray the roses are unbelievably bountiful and colourful and Mildura is no exception, the town also has bottlebrush trees drooping with their load of blooms.
Had a relaxing couple of hours on the SS Melbourne Paddle Steamer, cruising along the Murray River going past lovely trees and went past the weir and into Lock 11, I always find locks interesting, with the water going out and coming back in. There is a photo of Barry stearing the PaddleSteamer.
Tuesday morning leaving for Broken Hill.
