Vang Vieng, Lao Peoples Dem Rep

After Luang Prabang we went to a town called Vang Vieng which is the main spot in Laos for "tubing'. Basically you sit into a big tractor or truck tyre tube and float down the river. If you fancy a pint you just give a wave to one of the bars along the river and they pull you in. We pulled into a bar where an old guy and his wife were waiting with ice cold bottles of beerlao mmmmmmm the nicest beer in Asia. The old man told us his life story and after we got back into our tubes (well Steve jumped into his and it capsized so he fell into the river with all his belongings in a waterproof bag that wasn't waterproof. Glad we didn't bring the camera!) After 4 hours on the river we were a bit tipsy to say the least and it started to get cold so we got out a bit early when we saw a tuk tuk with our names on it at the side of the river. Home to dry off...then for a pizza.....
