07.05.09: Only a short drive today!! We are getting closer and closer to Melbourne! We are now in Phillips island. We went to Nobbies, the end of the island to walk along the rocks were the seals usually are. It is unfortunately not the season, so we did not see any (except Sean is convinced they are a couple on our pictures, but I think they are just rocks---time to go to Specsavers) Alice, ca y est, on est au pays du requin blanc!

After our usual lunch made from mixed salad prepared with love by moi, we wanted to do a bit of Internet. We realised that we locked ourselves out of the van. Keys proudly inside! After trying to break into our own Marilyn (turns out we are not good thieves), we went to the Internet, tried to look for the roadside assistance, went to the payphone because you can't call free numbers from your mobile and waited ages before being in touch with someone. They seemed to have an idea, but I can't write it on the web. It worked, though!

In the evening, we went to the penguin parade. Every night, the penguins come out from the sea to sleep and hide on the beach.. They are so funny. sometimes they try to get up when the wave breaks, but our taken back by the wave into the ocean and they have to try again. When they do manage to reach the shore, they wait for each other and then when everybody is there, they all run to the sand dunes. They look like a little army. They currently are in mating season, so we were lucky to see two of them getting at it, screaming their heart out!!
