30.04.09: It was hard to get out of bed this morning. We really got used the comfiness of the place! After chilling out with Cassidy, the dog, we headed toward the Blue Mountains, near Sydney. We stopped for a kebab and the owner, a Turkish lad, started to have a good chat, and even offered us some apple tea and fig.

We wanted to visit Kings Tambaland, but the roads were getting worse and worse so we decided to go back. We finally found the place, which was in the other direction! It was great because we were alone with the most fantastic view! We then went to Wentworth falls (rien  voir avec le beau gosse de Prison Break), and they were a bit of a disappointment compared to other National parks we have visited before in Australia. The good thing was that we did a short walk in the bush ans saw some cockatoos!

Echo Point is the most famous lookout of the Blue Mountains. The view on the Three Sisters and the whole valley is amazing. The Three Sisters are three big rocks worshipped by the Aborigines. The story says that 3 sisters were in love with three brothers from the neighbouring village. Unfortunately, they were not allowed to marry them because of tribal laws. The brothers decided to take them by force and a war started between the two tribes. The wise man of the village turned the sisters into stones so that they would not be taken but he was killed during the war. To this day, the spirit of the sisters are still trapped in the rocks. Blue Mountains are freezing cold. We were all shivering in the camp kitchen while cooking!! The heater is a blessing...we slept well!!
