It was our last day and our flight to Paris was at 9 pm. I still had not done my picnic with champagne. Chai Hong wanted to go on that tram that is suppose to take us through the major sights and my sister wanted to go to Petrin Hill. So we decided to cram everything in one day. We went to Mark and Spencer to buy sandwiches and sparkling wine. hey, I got a small bottle of sekt for only 10 euro and got the sandwiches. On the way to the tram station, we stopped by a stall that had the most luscious looking berries. I wanted strawberries that will go great with the sekt and choi Yen gave me a glare that said "pls" and we should take the cherries . Tension and ruffled feathers as a stand off was in sight. But in the end, chai Hong the diplomat said we should take both before a cat fight began.

We were set to take the tram but Ms Pan insisted we take the tram the opposite direction because we had already taken this tram to Prague Castle the other day and her rationale was that it would come back to the our destination anyway. So we went, and the tram took us further away from the city and all we could see were residential apartment which looks like we going further away into the suburbs. I decided time is too precious to wander off to a suburb somewhere and got the rest to get off and take the tram back into the city . We ended up back one stop after our Mala Strana stop two days ago. So we just wasted lan hour seeing Prague suburbs ....Well, then we will go directly to Vysehrad where we will have our picnic then.  I read a review that Vysehrad had very pretty views of Prague which not so well known to tourists. Had always been curious about the steeples that stood out whenever we were at our roof terrace and were told that it was part of Vysehrad which is the castle built for the Queen..

We took the underground and from there it was a five minutes walk . Didnt really know what to expect ... and so was pleasantly surprised that it was actually a lovely park beside the Vlatva River. A perfect spot for a picnic. Couldnt find an open space that had a view of the river and Prague castle so we ended up at the open green. Can't see the river nor the Castle from there but the shaded green was pleasant enough.  The strawberries were so luscious and sweet but the sno glass for the sekt!!!!I we had to drink it from the cap which reminded me of medicine. No glasses that went "ting". Hmm, the picnic in Cambridge beats this hands down....

we took a leisurely walk around the grounds and took lovely pictures. We stopped for ice cream and coffee and wished that this vacation would go on forever. I wasnt that excited about Paris. Havent been back there for more than 20 years. have been told and read that paris isnt that safe anymore. Paris in the summer was hot and I had rented an apartment without airconditioning . So, was not really ready to leave Prague with all its charm..
