Early morning and I heard the lions roar. Is that real? To wake up to lions roar . Wow that is really something. The morning is freezing, I add two blankets for the early morning drive but we are facing the chilly wind .

The lions have fed, Edward tells us. How does he know? Look at the round belly as they sleep unperturbed that we are observing them.

Edward really works hard at showing us the lion for the last time and then finally the two hippos. In the morning, they dont really look menacing and so our morning drive comes to an end. It's breakfast time - more bacon, eggs , toast. We are really been fed .

We say our goodbye to the Algerian family at the reception as we check out. I had taken the package that included the Addo National Park which I found out we could very easily do on our own. However, at the point of booking, I wasn't sure about the conditions of Addo and cannot imagine self-driving into the park to look for elephant etc and had opted to go with the Schotia tour. Its nearly 70% savings I'm told but anyway, Nicki our ranger for Addo was quite entertaining.

It takes just about 45 minutes drive to Addo National Park. Nothing like any of our Malaysian Park - very well kept and yes extremely easy to just drive and look for the animals. Just follow the crowd. Loads of elephants, ostriches and springboks. Niki got really excited about the black rhino which he spotted from very far, asked permission to drive like a F1 car driver to have a better view. As he is gushing about the black rhino and ignoramus like me just took as many pictures of the rare black rhino( an endangered species)  The wow factor only hit me when he told us that a live black rhino can cost Rand 500,000 whilst the white is only half the price. The rhino black horn is very valuable and is worth its weight in gold.

We end the trip with a lunch back at Schotia ( deelicous macaroni and cheese), we say our goodbyes to Edward and start our drive to Jeffrey Bay - the fourth top surfspot in the world known for its supertubes. I am excited, and would love to go watch the surfers.

Its only an hour and a half drive to A1 Kynaston B&B in Jeffrey's Bay and we find Sharon. The weather is not promising . We check in and Sharon goes through with us the drill and tells us we have the entire house to ourselves - yahoo!!!!! and rushes off as the England vs Germany game is about to start. The boys are getting themselves all comfortable in front of the telly. Chung looks out the window and says - the weather is lousy anyway, so I dont think there will be  any surfers. So,we will spent our Jeffrey Bay's afternoon in doors.

Germany thrases England 4-1 and a controversial goal from Lampard is disallowed. It's another disappointing showing from England . Rooney is the worst disappointment as he looks as if he is strolling in the park.

We were recommended dinner at this Greek restaurant for their faboulous prawns and it didnt disappoint . Lovely dinner, fabulous white wine at very reasonable price. The trip is really becoming one of the family's best ....
