After the smelly poo of Penguin, we entered Table Mountain Nature Reserve to visit Cape Point. I must admit I didnt really research much and so thought that pictures of people at the beach of the southern west tip of Africa was at Cape Point.

I thought it meant going up the Lighthouse and down the cliff. There is a choice of the vernacular or to walk up the to Lighthouse. I chose the former of course but the vernacular wasnt working so instead paid 33 Rand for the shuttle up. Chung and the kids walked up but I know I made the right decision when I panted my way up the stairs to the top deck where the lighthouse was located. And no, there is no stairs down to any beach.

I asked someone about it and there pointed to a very long path down the other way - its actually the Cape of Good Hope. What the heck , I got in the wrong Cape. The walk down was easy and very nice. As I am driving away, I was thinking. oh well there goes Cape of Good Hope when I spotted a road sign . Hey, we can drive there. We took a detour and great we can to touch the Atlantic Ocean . The views are spectacular and hey we meet another fellow Malaysian from Penang who took a cab all the way to Cape of Good Hope.

On the road, an ostrich actually just crossed the street, we all screamed with delight and Chung just stopped the car right in the middle of the road with no regards to safety until another car came from the back and honked. That's this beautiful country can do to you - mesmerize you....
