What I did
Eiffel Towers

Just before returning to Paris, I googled for images of Paris in the Fall, - what comes out is always almost the sames - the lonely deserted park , trees all lined up in a straight row, with golden leaves strewn all over. Les Jardin des Tuileris in the Fall - that would be beautiful.  How could I have missed Jardin des Tuileries in my previous visits? I dont know. .. You come to Paris for the usual sights - Eiffel Towers, Louvre , Notre Dame but somehow I missed this lovely park.

Anyway, I made this my first stop for the day. Took the metro after having lovely croissants and coffee in the hotel room while waiting for Chung to check and reply all his emails for the day. It was such a lovely day - clear blue skies - lovely for pictures.

We walked into the Les Jardin and I see familiar scenes. If you stand in the middle of the park , you can see Champs Alysee , Arc D'Triumphe and the Louvre all in a straight line. I have seen many such pictures of Paris but never knew that it was Les Jardin.

I sat at the edge of the park nearest to the Louvre while Chung ran across to the Louvre to take pictures of the outside. People watching - I can understand why it is so nice in Paris. I see many couples from China taking pictures. The women are so stylishly dressed and the men look like mere photographer taking pictures of the Next Top Model. 25 years ago, you can hardly see Chinese tourist , now there are everywhere.

I never did walked along the banks of the Rivers Seine and so as we made our way to Champs Alysee, we took the side along the river bank . When we walked down the stairs and went on the bank, I see  the loveliest sight of Paris. Eiffel Towers, Musee Dorsay, River Seine, and the gorgeous gold colours of autumn made lovely pictures. Even an idiot with any camera could take lovely breathtaking pictures.

As we walked toward Champs Alysee we passed through Petit Palace and Grande Palace - beautiful buildings that we passed by the last time we were here and never knew what it was. We then took the metro to Hotel Ville ... the starting point of our long walk back to St Germain 25 years ago. Hotel Ville looked the same but the area has changed .

It was then time to go to Eiffel Towers for our champagne at sunset. I had pre-booked tickets right up to the top. The champagne bar was opened and so finally champagne at sunset at the Eiffel Tower.

And then it was back to the Latin Quarters, fast becoming Chung's favourite hangout place. Finally we chose Restaurant De Jardin Notre Dame as it looked cozy and served sole meniere....the sole meniere was not as good as what I used to have it Cannes but it has been a long time since I had good sole meniere and this will do.

I do so love Paris in the fall as well. Two seasons and two more to go. Paris in the spring and winter and it will be complete.
