Today was a big day. We woke up at 4.30 and were on the truck at 5 heading towards dune 45. A sand dune that is 120 meters high.  We got to the Dune at about 6:15am and started to climb the dune.  It took about 45mins to get to the top and most people were coughing etc from the cold and exertion even the non smokers.  We arrived just in time to see the sun rise over the mountains.  It was beautiful.  We then came done the dune and headed to our meeting point to meet "The BushMan" He was this crazy man whos father was a tracker in the army and who also spent a good part of his life with the wild bush men of the Namibian deserts and the Bushman was trained by his father.  He was fantastic. He would stop at a certain point and show you what some animal tracks were and as soon as he was finished talking and answering question he would just take off over the sand and rocks barefoot leaving us usually in laughter.  He was knowledgeable and entertaining. He would just dive into the sand and pick snakes or lizards and pick them out.  He gave us some history and at the end of it he showed us this spider that lives in the sand.  It makes a hole in the ground and then makes a door from a mixture of its web and sand. It was amazing stuff to see.  Probably the most entertaining moment was when he picked up this lizard and was telling us that his bite doesnt really  hurt and proceeded to show the lizard his ear. It took hold and wouldnt let go.  They he just took off again with the lizard still attached to his ear where it remained for about 10min
