Traveling along the coast line of Morocco through the Sahara desert is utterly boring. All of us were expecting huge sand dunes and exceptional hot weather but instead we have gotten rocks and dirt and cool weather. I'm relieved that the weather is not outrageously hot and humid but I wish we would have known ahead of time because we all loaded up on extra water. Now the truck is packed to the brim with 5 gallon water jugs and it was really for no point at all.

Things seem to have calmed a bit on the truck after the shenanigans of the previous days. I'm starting to get a little home sick but it's not so bad, I think I miss American food the most. I can't eat anymore tangenes. I want real pizza!

I think I'm on day four without a shower and I don't smell, well I don't think I smell at least. No one has complained yet. Some of the members of the truck paid to have a shower in a hotel when we stopped in a small town earlier but I decided I wasn't dirty enough, I mean it hasn't even been hot enough to sweat yet. Who needs a shower anyway? My clothes are on three day shifts, they work as day clothes, pajamas, napkins, hand towels and whatever else I can think of. My hair is pretty greasy at this point but it goes unnoticed with my hair pulled back and a big head band blocking the shine. I'm not trying to impress anyone, so who cares.

All of us are waiting for food to become scarce so we all stop stuffing our faces with snacks all day. There isn't much else to do besides read, listen to music and eat so we are destined to gain some weight on this trip. I've been toying with the idea of starting an exercise routine in the mornings but the idea of getting sweaty without a shower sounds less than appealing. Some people on the trip have begun doing yoga and others have done some running then taken a cold sponge bath at night. Burrr! I don't think my usual baby wipe washing will work too well after a workout.

Lunches on the truck have been consisting of salted or canned meats, laughing cow cheese (I guess it doesn't need to be refrigerated and it's everywhere!) and either bread rolls or wraps. When available we sub in things like tomatoes, roasted chicken, avocado, ect. I've been falling prey to the junk food just like everyone else with chips and candies being passed around the truck all day it's hard to keep saying no.

Hey if any of you guys out there can find some workouts that I can do with no weights or other workout equipment I'd appreciate it! Send them to my email at lenahoff@email.com, that's my junk email but I don't want to post my regular email to a public forum.
