Didn't get much shut eye after the previous nights debacle. Caught a cab into town at 9am and went to catch our boat tour with Geraldo. We first went to Dolphin Bay. We saw a handful of dolphins, but nothing much spectacular. Next we headed out to Coral Cay for some snorkeling. The coral was all sorts of beautiful colors (yellow, orange, purple) it was some of the most colorful coral I've seen while snorkeling. Also saw some really cool fish including one about a food long in neon green and pink. There were sea slugs and lots of brittle sea stars.

Lunch was out in the middle of nowhere, but still fabulous and cheap for having to ship the food in. At Jasmin on the water you could get anything from arroz con pollo, pollo con salsa de hongos (mushroom sauce), pescado del dia and lobster from $7-19 -- but out here they only take cash.

From lunch we went to the Red Frog Beach on a preserve island (so there was a $3 each fee to go to the island). The beach was amazing, the best we've seen so far. The water was crystal clear -- water that I was actually happy and willing to swim in because I could see below my feet. We were pretty tired so there was some napping involved on the beach. When I woke Sarah (the teacher from Boston) showed up with another group so I got to chat with her some more and a friend that she'd met while traveling who was from Israel came later too.

Dinner that night was at this little hippy-esque restaurant, El Ultimo Refugio. There was an acoustic guitarist playing who sounded a lot like Bob Dylan or Tom Petty. The menu seemed like an ever-rotating deal that was written on a large white board and brought around to each table. There were only a few items on the menu and that drew a few puzzled looks, but we decided to stay anyway. I got a fantastic grilled chicken salad with a papaya vinaigrette. Actually between the 5 of us, we got each of their main dishes. Someone got the meatloaf, 2 got grilled eggplant with zucchini and someone got grilled tuna. My dad and I also worked on a pitcher of sangria that we extra sweet because of all the fruit they added, including passion fruit.
