When we arrived it was about 11:00pm so Thomas showed us to our room which was upstairs. He rents out rooms on the top floor of his house to students and he had a few extra rooms so Virginia and I shared one. It was nice to have our own room for the first time since we have arrived. In the morning we met everyone and had good German buns for breakfast. Its pretty quiet in their house and Mathias was the only one who left the house during the day, which was for work. Mathias and Susanna took us to downtown Lubeck and showed us around. They took us to many of the Cathedrals and we stopped by Niederegger. Susanna didn't want to go in but Virginia wasn't going to keep on walking without stopping in. The shop was packed and we bought Dad his marzipan, with Mathias and Susanna telling us we were spending too much money...don't worry Dad, we didn't listen to them. We then sat outside and had a marzipan cappacino, which was very yummy. We then had to go back home for ''dinner'', which is really at lunch time. They have there larger meal in the afternoon and a smaller meal of bread and meat at about 6:30pm. The next day Virginia and I borrowed two of their bicycles and went into Lubeck on our own. The bikes were older then the two of our ages combined but they got us around and did the trick. Lubeck is very bike friendly with bike lanes everywhere it was very easy to get around.
