After leaving Art & Beer, we drove down a dirt road that headed towards the beach. We first walked along the rocks on the near end of the beach, checking out the tide pools and taking in the huge waves out on the farthest rocks.  We then walked the beach some and played with Tanka.  "Los Cerritos Beach Club" looks like it might be a fun place, with live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.  While Tanka dried off, we popped the trunk and drank a beer and got to visit with a student at Monterrey Tech who is in grad school.

Next stop was in Todos Santos for a visit to Chava's ceviche cart.  We just wanted a little taste, so we’d then have room for the carnitas in San Pedro.  We got to meet Chava’s wife and daughter, and Tanka, more dogs.  After our tostadas, Chava offered us samples of some new mariscos (seafood).   We talked more about Chava’s business, how he and his wife met, etc.  He showed us a bag of haiba (crab) and then a bag of 'caracol’, (conch, mystery solved) which he then cut up and served for us to try.  Very chewy at first, with the flavor coming out once chewed a bit. I wasn’t too crazy about it but glad to try it.

On to San Pedro where we ordered our carnitas to go… unloaded car, heated up carnitas and to bed by 9pm.  Whew…vacacion de vacacion is draining.
