Day 5 (Feb 1st): Placement test. Tour of Cannes!!!! Saw the theater where the film festival is and took pictures of everything. Photo with Julie Andrews handprints!!! Check and check. Then the tour led us by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry. So OF COURSE I did some shopping. Pocket change really. Then we all tried to take the bus home. But we took the wrong one. TWICE. So it took us a really long time to get back to the College. It was really fun getting lost though. We finally got on the right bus and we were just talking amongst ourselves, surrounded by French people. Then all of a sudden my friend Mili (who was sitting on the other side of the bus) yelled "Hey guys! Look! That store is called Alabama Motorcycle!" She is from Alabama and with good reason was uber excited to see something with her state on it. But the entire bus turned around and stared at us. Rule number one: don't be blatant, loud Americans. Oops. Failed that lesson. At that point we knew our stop was coming up so we started looking out for it. Then we saw our stop... but the bus didn't slow down. Side note: in France you have to request your stop. That would have been nice to know beforehand. So anyway we missed our stop and all the Frenchies laughed at us. Whatever! We made it back and it was really fun!
