Communication has always intrigued me.  Language, the spoken word, the written word, how those words are perceived by others....non-verbal messages, subconscious messages, tactile messages, intentional and unintentional messages....electronic messages?

In Guatemala I begin a foray into a new world for me -  yes, blogging communication.  An attractive method of relaying updates while I travel.  A way to share images of my life while away from family and friends.  I'll beg for your patience while I master this new skill and I  hope that you'll check in often. Your feedback is welcome!

I'm quite amazed that I was able to stuff everything I'll need for a few months into one backpack!  My recent minimalist lifestyle hits a new high.  I'm ready except for a few errands....such as scrounging up some cash for basic needs...yes, that is a blatant hint that I am accepting donations, just hit that donation button on my blog and help me help the Guatemalans.
