Day 129

Today I spent the day wandering around Lovina, I went onto the beach and was hassled by some sellers, one even asking me to please buy a t-shirt as business is bad for her and she has to support her 3 kids since her husband died 3 months ago (i wasn't sure whether this was true or not but I didn't have the money to spend and there wasn't any t-shirts that i liked). I then met a german girl on the beach called Sara, about the only other person besides myself not in a couple. She was on holiday in Bali for 2 weeks. After a brief chat with her I got roped into playing football on the beach with a bunch of 8 year old boys, it was pretty good fun, but they stopped playing after 5 minutes! So I then continued to chat with her and after I chilled out on the beach whilst she went for a swim. After we went back to hers (no its not what you think!) and had a couple of beers, she got changed and we went and got some food and drink at my local favourite restaurant; the Spice bar (found on the beach). Once again the locals ended up giving me and Sara loads of Arak vodka shots and we also shared a few large Bintangs between us, I was feeling a bit drunk and really hungry. My steak did not diminish my hunger, so Sara said she wasn't feeling hungry and asked me to finish off her sandwich. After I polished off her sandwich we chatted some more with the locals who I met the night before. In the evening we went to this nightclub called Pasha and saw the sexy dancers performing (as it was sexy dancer night, surprise, surpirise!) and danced a little and enjoyed party time in Bali (not to be confused with the often quoted "Bintang time".

Day 130

Today I was going to leave Lovina to head south, but i left it a bit late at, at 12pm I wanted to go but public transport was difficult to get and the owner of the hotel said I could get the shuttle bus tommorow morning so I agreed as I quite like Lovina, so staying an extra day wouldn't be so bad. I wasn't looking forward to taking the public bus south anyway and it was pretty cheap to take the shuttle bus in the morning. So I had a day to kill in Lovina, the weather was great so I decided to take a tour of GitGit waterfalls and the hotsprings near Lovina. I went with my tour guide to GitGit, which was pretty cool, quite similar to the waterfalls of Gunung Gede. We then jumped back onto the motorbike and went to the hotsprings, about 30 minutes from GitGit. The hotsprings were really nice, just like swimming pools on two levels but with water coming from the volcanoes pouring into them. The pools were packed as it was a sunday and I found myself going for a swim among many Indonesians in their local pool, there place of leisure. In the evening I met a German couple; Dennis and Julia, who I had met earlier on in the day. We spent the evening chatting and going to some bars, Julia wasn't feeling well so went home early. After  Dennis finished taking her home he came backed and we chatted about music and our love of sports and had a long conversation about tennis, which I enjoyed. After a while he went as both of them had to get up early to see the dolphin cruise in the morning. I was quite tired and went back home shortly after.
