Today the weather was pretty miserable. We started off the day by visiting the museum in Invercargill where we got to see the Tuatara, these are ancestors of dragons from the prehistoric period, that survived the prehistoric period, they are one of a few species from that period, making the species 0ver 65 million years old, so I saw a dinosaur effectively, or reptiles from that period. One of the particular group we saw was over 200 years old. They don't really move much but they were pretty cool. We then went and stopped off at a pub for sausages and chips before continuing to drive through the horrible rainy weather. On the way to Te Anau we saw some funny statues, and a funny sign called: "McCrackens Rest", where people from our bus where having their picture taking with them mooning the camera (hence "McCracken"). We then stopped past a funny shed which had been painted to look like the school bus from the Simpsons. After we arrived in Te Anau we went and had some food and then went to a couple of bars and had some drinks as it was Leslie's birthday today.
