Dunedin Day 60
Today I didn't do very much, I watched Old School and Dead Poets Society on the TV in Hogwartz, the hostel where I have been staying at. I met up with James (peach) and Lloyd in the evening and then went to see the new Harry Potter film; Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Then after we played a game of scrabble in the hostels kitchen before we said our farewells and arranging to meet up again at some point. Tommorow I head off to Invercargill, yay!
Invercargill Day 61
Today was quite a long journey on the bottom bus, we stopped off on the way to take a walk across a beach to try and spot some sea lions but unfortunately we didn't spot any. After more travelling we stopped off a couple more times, once for fish and chips and a quick snack stop. Another great stop was McLean falls, a beautiful waterfall, which Jessie, Cole and Leslie (three american girls from the Bottom Bus) and me climbed to the top of with the expert help of our bus driver Mike. The views were great and it was sweet how we could lean on the tree over the waterfall and have pictures taken. The highlight of the day however was stopping off at the interesting Curio Bay where we were able to spot yellow-eyed penguins waddling along the stony bay. Curio Bay was pretty interesting as apparently its one of only three bays in the world where fossilized tree can be seen, not bad. After we got some sneaky snapshots of the penguins (unfortunately I didn't get any as my camera had no battery charge) we headed straight onto Invercargill, where we arrived at 6:30pm. After getting ourselves organized and fed the bottom bus group met up in Speights Brewery house with the bus driver Mike for a few beverages and shared stories and headed back to the hostel at 12ish.
