Kilarney, Ireland

We arrived in Kilarney late so Criona stayed on with us at the hostel. Kilarney is nothing to write home about. Its a small town like Kilkenney just not as nice. And mainly because of the huge amount of tourists coming through using the town as the stop off to see the Ring of Kerry. Satday we hired bicycles and rode to Ross Castle and around the lakes next to the Gap of Dunloe. The forest was magnificent and it was nice to be outdoors and not be stuck in the car or bus. We didn't get around to seeing the Ring of Kerry, but it didn't matter a whole lot because we had driven along the coast on our way from
Cork to Kilarney and saw a lot of what the ring shows anyway. I would have liked to have seen it, but I didn't want to spend another day in Kilarney and the clock is ticking down as we have to be back in
Dublin on the 10th.
