We cast off from Curacao at 6:00 on Wednesday evening and the Dawn Princess headed back towards home. At this point we would say the Southern Caribbean is our favorite itinerary. The ports are colorful and friendly but, more importantly, though, they haven't seemed to take on the feeling of commercialism that is so rampant in St. Thomas and Nassau. In addition, the Dawn Princess has our favorite member of the Princess fleet. It's not as large as the Grand Class ships and the layout of our mini-suite is the best we've had. If we were to travel again with Welty, this ship would allow a measure of privacy that doesn't exist with the other cabin layout. Maybe it should just be said this has been a wonderful trip and a terrific beginning to a year of celebrating our 50th anniversary. We docked in Port Everglades at 6:00 on Saturday.
