I guess the port that concerned us most was Curacao. We had seen pictures and were really looking forward to Curacao but it had been badly damaged by this year's hurricane season. Once we entered the harbor we were pleasantly surprised. Evidence of hurricane damage was almost non-existent. Everything looked as colorful and charming as we had hoped it would. Our guide for a land tour was very informative and gave us a good look at Curacao's political history including the fact that they were in the midst of a campaign to determine if they would stay affiliated with the Netherlands or become independent. We really love this part of the world.
