We sailed into the Port of Dublin at sunrise this morning. What a huge and busy port. As we left the port and headed into town there was more construction going on than I believe I have ever seen in any one place. Within a couple of miles, every possible building site was under construction. We had heard Ireland has the fastest growing economy of any country in the world right now but we never anticipated seeing anything like this. Since we have three grandsons with the name Hogan we headed for a street called Hogan Place but before we got there we were warned by a local resident that we were in a pretty undesirable part of town and needed to be very careful. We decided it would not be in our best interest to go any further. Instead we headed back to the center of town. After touring buildings all over northern Europe, none of us was really interested in seeing the inside of any more buildings so we just visited a few of the shops and enjoyed being in the city. The weather couldn't have been better but the pollution was terrible. George couldn't wait to get back on board. We had no choice. Al and I had to call Orlando and that couldn't be done until 1:00 Dublin time. Once back on board we were looking forward to the evening's entertainment and a full day at sea on Tuesday.
