Heading in land to the Hunter valley, it was going to be hot with temperatures reaching 42 with no sea breeze. We had never been to a vine yard or a cellar door before so didn't know what to expect. We soon got the hang of it and found ourselves having a few bubbles at the champaign house.
We had just arrived, so planned a route for the following day to see and let Amy taste as much as possible. Lee put his chaffer hat on and drove around 15 cellar doors letting Amy taste different wines. By mid afternoon, Amy had a little headache so we went to the smelly cheese shop to try some cheese.
We wanted to see how wine was made so we went on a wine tour at Tirrell's and explored the barrels and fields. We also tasted some world brand names including Rosemans, Lindamans, Tirrell's etc throughout the day.
We would defiantly do another wine tour in the future.
