Niagra Falls

Hi, Everyone!

We are at the world's second highest waterfall.  Niagra Falls is absolutely awesome to see and hear it and to feel the spray.  It is everything people say it is and a wonder that is worth seeing.  We took the Maid of the Mist boat trip right up to the Falls and felt the spray like torrential rain on us.

We went to a canyon that had the longest and second longest suspension bridges in Canada.  We decided to cross over on the shorter of the two as it was quite windy.  Shortly after we started off there came a terrible crash behind us with many rocks tumbling down the gorge.  This was a heart-stopping event.  We did finally make it across.  Guess what -- there is no pathway down from that side.  We had to cross back over, board by board, step by step, inch by agonizing inch.  We opted out of the longer bridge...............

I was just so excited to see the first of the Great Lakes and it was fabulous to put my feet in Lake Superior.  I never dreamed that I would ever see the Great Lakes.

The weather has been perfect the last 3 weeks.  We had a couple of thunder storms but they were during the night and impressive, but the sun was back the following mornings.
Passed through White River where the real Winnie the Pooh got his start.  Rees' Little Brown Bear had his picture taken with him.

Camped 2 nights at a place called The Falls Resort -- a really beautiful spot near a place called Spanish.  We canoed and skinny dipped with a bar of soap in a remote lake.  It was great.

Sounds and looks like you are having a fantastic time. I've never been to Niagara Falls - we took the northern route around Lake Superior through Thunderbay, Wawa, etc., instead, so it was really great to see your photos. I wonder where you are now?
