Saw the movie 'Georgia Rules' and it was not that great, considering the cast -  Felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives, Lindsay Lohen (from drug rehab?) and Jane Fonda as mother, daughter and grandmother in that order.   But it was better than hanging out at the Hostel; apparently the reason hostellers were splayed out over the furniture watching movies was because they were vine pruners (as all hosterllers seem to be around here) and it was raining all day so they couldn't work. Anyway my roommate was a German woman who was also pruning and had been in the room for 6 weeks already as was about to go crazy except for the fact she went to Perth every weekend to visit her boyfriend!
Had to be up by 7:30 to call Sheila to find out what time they were going to be in Busselton to pick me up for the 3 hour drive to Perth.  During breakfast I  had a chat with the 'cleaner' in the morning who had just been hired by them and said he had to get a lot of grime off the walls when he first came 3 weeks ago. He writes children's books as a career and does this part-time. His first book will be published shortly he said. Anway I also had a chat with Anton Andersson from Sweden, who was a diesel mechanic and was driving a tractor for a winery and who had been living out of his van until it got too cold!
Sheila and Vincent picked me up at 10:45 after I had a short walk to the Busselton jettyer which was a very beautiful sight in the daylight with the waves splasing up on the beach and the 1.8 km long jetty.
Arrived at the park and ride where I got dropped off and 5 min. later the city bus to Freemantle arrived and 30 minutes later I was wandering around the train station trying to find someone to help me find my way to the hostel.  Got advice to take the free shuttle around the city to the hostel but bus driver said it was only a couple of blocks away walking.  Checked into another scuzzy hostel, this time it was a YHA one which you dont expect.  Dropped my bags off and took the free shuttle around tos ee the sights with plans to see the Shipwreck Museum tomorrow morning before I take shuttle to airport for flight to Sydney.  Freemantle is a port city and has beautiful architecture and vistas of the ocean.  Best view looks like from a McDonalds!
ps I have uploaded some pics from Vincent and Sheila's farm on the previous blog.
