Well Mamma Mia was pretty good (not as good as in Toronto, but that was my first time seeing it, Barb and I took a pic inside the Winter Garden theatre after the show and that was a nono apparently... after a long day Friday in NY spent travelling the Staten Island Ferry, Ground Zero (a sombre looking hole in the ground, an outdoor exhibit of firefighters photos and not much else.. we went to the Guggenheim from 6-8 when it was donation only. Some interesting architectural designs by Hadid. We had an early night as Barb had to leave at 5 a.m. Sat for her 7 am flight. We sure had a great time and left no New York stone unturned, so to speak; next time we,ll take in a few off Broadway and same day 1/2 price shows. I left for airport at 11:45 a.m. but departed NY at 5 pm arriving here about midnight NY time and 6 am here. Good flight and I met a lady from Bulgaria but lives in Hamburg and her son is a stockbroker with Morgan Stanley. I took the subway from the airport to the main train station and found my one star but it was too early to check in so had to wait in the lobby. My room overlooks a busy street. I did sleep a bit but wandered around for a few hours and got a Frankfurt card for free transport and discount on a sight seeing tour tomorrow. Plan to depart on Thurs. for Berlin. will report in from there!
