When we got up we were headed to St. Louis and within 2 hours we made it. We decided t go to the arc which is a huge monument about 620 feet high and you can go in little capsules up to the top and look over the city. The experience was awesome and we got some great pictures. After we went downtown to a park and ate lunch and were off to kansas city. We eventually went through Kansas City, into Kansas, then into Iowa, and eventually up to South Dakota. In the search for campgrounds in the wee hours of the morning we stumbled upon the Famil-e-caping campground. The place was more like a dark carnival with christmas lights and a butchers shed in the back. So...in spite of us all being creeped out we left. The next town we stopped in had an even creepier campgroud so we drove some more. A few towns later we finally found the place where we stayed...at 4 in the morning. We drove 700 miles in one day.
