We left Tralee in the morning to set out for Cork. On the way we stopped by Muckross House in Killarney National Park, which is a beautiful old Victorian mansion. The house was amazing and the gardens were full of colourful rhododendrons. Our next stop was Blarney Castle, which was a lot of fun. We all kissed the Blarney Stone, meaning we had to lean over upside-down without falling off the ledge to receive the gift of eloquence. There are many legends as to the origin of the stone, but some say that it was the Lia Fáil - a magical stone upon which Irish kings were crowned. We enjoyed exploring the gardens around the castle and then spent the night in Cork with Vanessa and Natasha in Cork.
