Today was my favourite day of the tour even though it was freezing and windy up in the highlands. Our first stop was Eilean Donan castle on Loch Garry, which was used in the film 'Highlander' starring Sean Connery. Then we drove through Glen Shiel, past the Five Sisters of Kintail who were turned into mountains by a witch to preserve their beauty. Then we drove over the sea to the Isle of Skye. The best part was Sligachan Glen, which is the misty portal into the faerie realm. We stopped for lunch in Portee, and then visited a microbrewery for a beer stop. It was a great day!
