Where I stayed
Blenheim Palace
John Churchill, the first duke of Marlborough, defeated the French at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704. As a rewarded he was given enough money to build Blenheim Palace by Queen Anne, and today it stands as the finest Baroque building in England. It also happens to be the birthpalce and resting place of Sir Winston Churchill. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside the palace but from the outside you can imagine the high ceilings, beautiful tapestries and priceless art. The palace sits on 2000 acres of land with a private pond and lush gardens. All very lovely indeed.
