Okay, so this is one of the most fun
stories I will get to tell you on this travel blog. As previously mentioned, we
spent the day in Innsbruck and then took a late train to Munich.  Although it was a fun day, I was tired,
wet, and feeling kind of grumpy by the end of it. We were walking down the
street towards our hostel, carrying our heavy bags and feeling generally quite
miserable... when I opened the front door to our hostel and who should be waiting
there to surprise me? My amazing boyfriend Wayne, thats who! Wayne has been
over here travelling and I wasn’t planning on being able to see him for over
another week, so it was SUCH a great surprise to be able to see him and spend a
few days with him! He had travelled all the way from northern France and had
arranged an elaborate surprise scheme with Vanessa... and boy did it work out!
Thanks Wayne :)

The next morning Vanessa and I decided to
go to see the Neuchwanstein Castle, which is a 2 hour train ride into the
Bavarian mountains, just south of Munich. (We split up with Wayne cuz he’d
already been to the castle in a past visit and wanted to see something new.. so
we still had our girls' time, lol) We had an invigorating hike from Füssen up to
the castle that involved singing, dancing, telling funny stories and playing
silly games. We insisted on walking faster than all the tourists, and therefore
practically ran up that stupid mountain. I think we proved our point, haha. In
the end we had a beautiful day, and REALLY enjoyed seeing the beautiful
fairytale castle.

The next day after saying goodbye to Wayne,
Nessa and I headed out to see Dachau Concentration Camp. Please do Google
“Dachau” to find out more information on the camp. It was chilling to see the site of so many atrocities. All I
could think was “why”. I don’t know how people can do the things they do to one
another. There was a strong message of Never Again, which was of course
important, but Vanessa was always quick to point out that horrible crimes
against humanity happen ALL the time in African countries and people pay no
mind. Just food for thought.

In the afternoon we decided to go on a
quick free walking tour of Munich, and then we hopped on the train to.....
SALZBURG!!!!

Wow, those are some beautiful pictures!!! I love that castle. And once again, Hooray to Wayne for the surprise. He's awesome.
(p.s. i'm at your apartment right now and you're in the other room sleeping cuz you're jetlagged...) :) Love you!
