Just a quick update and an opportunity to upload some pictures! On our way from Fraser Island to Sydney, we stopped at a place called Tin Can Bay. Thanks for the recommendation Emma!
Here we got to meet and feed some wild indian humpback dolphins. They started coming in to be fed in the 1950's after one was injured and so he stayed in the river mouth and was nursed back to health before returning to sea. Since then he has bought back various members of his family and the dolphins we met were his grandkids!

We were so lucky as they usually arrive very early in the morning but these dolphins decided to have a lie in and didnt rock up until 10.15 am. By this point everyone else had given up waiting and we were almost about to do the same as we had a flight to catch. But our patience was rewarded with a very personal encounter with the dolphins as until word spread they were back, it was just us and them! A very special experience!
