Belmullet is on the Mullet Peninsula, on the very far Northwest side of Ireland. Yup, that's its name. And no, we couldn’t resist the urge to go. Nor could we resist the urge to purchase a mullet wig for our trip there. So, with mullet wig in hand, we spent an evening at the mullet peninsula. The ladies having tea next to us in a local cafe mentioned that not many tourists venture all the way over to their area which is off the beaten path and not really detailed in many tourist books. Its’s a shame because it’s a pretty area of the country with very friendly people. As we cruised away, wig blowing in the wind (or at least the back of the wig), we were glad we made a point to check it out.
We ran into a lovely couple from Stratford upon Avon at one of our roadside pullouts. We spent a good amount of time sitting in their car, sheltered from the wind, writing down some much appreciated travel tips for our next leg of the journey into England. Vanessa, Malcolm and little Gabrielle, it was meant to be that we ran into you that day. Your tips will come in handy and we can’t wait to meet up with you for a visit when we make it to your neck of the woods.
Feeling the flow,
Leann and Robyn
